Description
A little sister to Alpha, this guitar shows off a lot of the similar properties, such as the unique pickup combination consisting of a condenser mic and two magnetic pickups – DiMarzio in the neck and Universum’s custom pickup in the bridge position. The wood combination is also similar to Alpha – flame carved figured maple arched top, sycamore maple body, neck with wenge fingerboard consisting of 7 plies of flame sycamore and walnut. What’s different is the absence of the installed speaker resulting in reduced weight, which in turn makes it easier to rock out on stage and yet enjoy all the unique practical possibilities Universum has to offer. These include: feedback-free acoustic sounds, possibility to mix in the signals of magnetic pickups with the condenser mic, one acoustic and one electric output that can be used simultaneously. Beta’s unimaginable tone versatility borrowed from her sister Alpha and reduced weight are perfect for broad needs of a touring and session guitarist, who are tired of dragging two-three guitars around. Now you only need one, and her name is Beta.
